Bruno is the wandering dog from Longville, Minnesota, that has been walking 4 miles daily for the past 12 years only to say ‘hi’ to the people in the city.
He started travelling since he was a puppy. More than ten years ago a man came into Larry LaVallee’s driveway holding a small pup and thinking that those who live there were it’s owners.
“A guy come in my driveway, and Bruno was a little pup,” Larry LaVallee recalls, “and he says, ‘I found your dog at the end of your driveway.’ I says, ‘Well he ain’t my dog.’”
Only that the little dog had nothing to do with Larry. But as soon as LaVallee puts his eyes on the pup, he decided instantly to keep it. “And that was the beginning of it all,” says LaVallee.
Sharon Rouse works in the city at the Hansen Realty office at the reception desk and she watches Bruno’s arrivals from the window. “Everybody knows Bruno, may not know the people, but you’ll know Bruno,” she said in the video.
For the past 12 years Bruno has been walking 4 miles to Longville, making his rounds around town, then heading back home to his owners, Larry and Debbie LaVallee.
