They Made A Christmas Display Honoring Veterans And Troops. Now, The Song They Chose Is Going Viral.

You may not know that since the beginning of America as the country as we know today, more than 1.3 million American soldiers have given their lives for their country. And their bravery, dedication and sacrifice it’s something that needs and deserves to be honored. That is what the Whitis family in Tallahassee, Florida, did a few years ago. They decided to honor American troops and veterans, so they put up Christmas lights display and helped raise funds for the Semper Fi Fund, the organization that helps support wounded members of the U.S. Army and their families.

I have to add that this Christmas display will bring warm in your heart and, yes, tears in your eyes! This amazing family put up an impressive light show that was set to Lee Greenwood’s famous song, “Proud To Be An American”. The decorative display put up by the Whitis family won the Good Morning America Contest “Our Lights Are Better Than Your Lights.”

Knowing that our troops are far away from their families during the holiday season, makes this video even more touching and breathtaking. Every American should show its appreciation for the fallen soldiers and for those that are still fight for our country, for their sacrifice. God bless our troops and their families!
